Olamide aka Baddo is one of Nigeria’s top indigenous rappers. It is easy to say his brand is currently unrivaled. Last year, he threw a concert for his fans. The concert was tagged “OLIC” which is an acronym for Olamide Live in Concert. It was a night to remember. From the well planned sets to the performers, the crowd had a great time. Another year has quickly rolled on by and this year he is bringing OLIC back under the tag OLIC2. Nigerian Entertainment caught up with Olamide to find out what to expect from OLIC2. Nigerian Entertainment: What Inspired The OLIC Brand?
Olamide: The OLIC brand was inspired by the fans, after putting out 4 albums(as at last year) it was very important to do a concert where the fans could experience the art behind the music.
Nigerian Entertainment: What should fans expect from OLIC2?
Olamide: The fans should expect a richer experience, more artistes and in general a fantastic performance especially with the new album out(Eyan Mayweather)
Nigerian Entertainment: What artists will be performing?
Olamide: Wizkid, Davido, Reminisce, Phyno, Patoranking, YCEE, Niniola, FloRocka, Solidstar, Tjan, Adekunle Gold, Lil Kesh, Viktoh and others
Nigerian Entertainment: Last year’s OLIC was quite colorful, what surprises do you have this year?
Olamide: We’re not letting the cat out of the bag(LOL), but the audience are in for a surprise!!!
Nigerian Entertainment: What challenges did you face with the first OLIC?
Olamide: Considering the fact that it was my first concert, I think setting up the right team wasn’t so easy and funding but with the help of my partners Right Entertainment and Achievas Entertainment, we came through all the challenges.
Nigerian Entertainment: What will you be doing different ?
Olamide: This year I’m focusing on the quality of the performance and also the general welfare of the audience as its very important for everybody to be comfortable which is why we’re using a premium location.
Nigerian Entertainment: What does it take to put together an event of this magnitude?
Olamide: It takes a lot of hardwork, teamwork, coordination and God’s grace.
Nigerian Entertainment: If there is any artist in this world you would like to see on that OLIC stage, who would it be?
Olamide: All the artistes I want are going to be on the stage that day which is why I’m grateful to God and my fans for bringing me this far.
Nigerian Entertainment: Should we be expecting an OLIC3?
Olamide: Let’s see how it goes, but by the grace of God there’ll be another concert next year.

Olamide: Everybody should come early as we have a lot of content and exciting things planned for the audience.
