What’s your point of view about Nigerian rappers mostly
Idris and Ruggedman? Do u really think Idris deserves
wat Ruggedman did to him?
Skillful
Yep and Eedris played in London on Naija indepedence
bash says a lot about him innit.
Styles
From a musical perspective, EEDRIS preempts RUGGEDMAN
anytime any day...
Ozeal
OBOY WETIN DEY DO U? IDRIS NA # 1; RUGGEDMAN TOO FAKE.
Piratedean
Do u really know wat lyrics are at all or u just listening
to wateva they sing...Ruggedman is a lyrical rapper and
he turned Idris into a high life musician,...and did I
hear anyone say Idris performed at the Nigerian independence.
where are u when Ruggedman came to hackney this year?...feel
wat Rugged say he is da bomb and there is notin idris
can do about it..idris aint no lyrical rapper..and the
best rap album Nigeria as ever got is thy album come by
ruggedman and pirated copy from 2 Shotz. feel me ? Even
ppl here in UK feel em.
Skillful
My brother Ruggedman did not perform at hackney, he was
refused a visa along with Sunny (oruka) fame. This is
Eedris’s second performance in LONDON, came last year
with Maintain.

I don’t think you can compare both artists. They are
both great at what they do, Eedris makes great vibe tracks
with lyrics that make no sense, where as Rugged man is
a lyrical beast but not necessarily a studio artist.
Styles
Haba oga neon, you must have been skimming through most
Eedris joints. Granted, he has some party, bragging and
fooling around joints, however he is equally political
and social with his other joints...
Neon79
Come on I have heard most of Eedris joints and I am yet
to hear the guy put lines together. Even songs like "Kowale"
and "Jaga jaga" had potential but the lyrics are disappointing.
Piratedean
Well u have a point...but u saying Ruggedman not a studio
artist is a total foul. Ruggedman is a total studio and
lyrical artist. Let me give u an example of studio song;
baraje and french connection those are studio tracks...that’s
the difference between 50cent and the Game...50cent is
a lyrical and vocal rapper but the game is a lyrical man
which I respect both of them. Idris is good which I am
not disputing but none of his raps can compare with Ruggedman...rugged
is a good mc.
PaJ
..here's my take: Ruggedman is a far better lyricist
than Eedris...though Ruggedman could use some banging
tracks....banging tracks are easier to come by than great
lyrics because U can easily buy tracks…unless Eedris can
get some ghost writers to bring him better stuff his lyrics
have the tendency to remain unimpressive...my vote as
per who's more gifted? Ruggedman...sorry. Even the so
called 'dis song' he made for 50 Cents sounded more like
whining than a diss track...
Skillful
Yep but better lyrics don’t guarantee u a better pay
day. Eedris’s music will appeal to most Nigerians than
Ruggedman whose music might only appeal to a section of
the public. Do u get me bro. By the way Edris can rap
in Hausa and he’s not bad at that either. for entertainment
I go for Eedris, for flow Ruggedman.
PaJ
..if I were a marketer with global appeal I'll pick Ruggedman...it's
easier to find tracks for a good lyricist than to find
words for .....well...U got me gist..
9jachiq
Eedris got his fame cos of Mr Lecutrer...its not about
his lyrics though but the way he entertains.. he is not
a musician to say the least but he loves to entertain
and that is what naijaz love ... but Ruggedman has the
lyrics, the flow and all that.... he is no "jagajaga"
...he just need to be a popular like eedris but I hope
he will not fold up sha.. I love his songs anywayz..
TRAKNOX
No Nigerian emcee can stand when u talk about
lyrical content next to Mode9.
