ROCK THE MIC
A
profile and video interview with UPN’s Tony Rock.
Asked if he ever gets tired of being referred
to as “Chris Rock’s brother,” Tony Rock explains that all
his life, he has always been ‘so and so’s brother’. As a
middle child of eight siblings (3 older brothers, including
Chris), being primarily identified as a sibling is nothing
new for Tony. In fact, Tony stills manages to shine very
well on his own despite that. Tony has gained a name for
himself: in 2001 he was included The Hollywood Reporter
as one of the hot young talents emerging. He was also
featured in People Magazine’s July 7, 2003 Issue.
Tony hosted “Battle Botts”, a successful show on Comedy
Central in 2002. Currently, Tony can be spotted as ‘Dirk
Black’ in the UPN show “All Of Us” (produced by Will Smith
and Jada Pinkett Smith).
“If I trace it back far enough…I’ll probably
be Nigerian too” Tony joked when we caught up with him after
a stage performance and got a brief video interview with
him.
