The Field is all set for the round of 16 and we will be having some potentially interesting ties coming up, i say sorry to all United Fans because it is quite disheartening that a team of that Magnitude isn’t in the mix here.
Here are the Group winners and runners up, the full Draw is expected to be made today Monday 14th Dec. 2015 in Switzerland.
Group winners: Real Madrid, Wolfsburg, Atletico Madrid, Manchester City, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Zenit St Petersburg
Group runners up: PSG, PSV Eindhoven, Benfica, Juventus, Roma, Arsenal, Dynamo Kiev, Gent
Below is a look at who Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City could face in the knockout stages, as the latter two teams have much easier paths to the quarterfinals.
Arsenal
Finishing second will always make your round of 16 tougher and Arsenal have put themselves up for a tough one they will face one of Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Wolfsburg or Zenit St Petersburg in the last 16.
Chelsea
Chelsea have been different in the champions league and after winning Group F, Jose Mourinho’s side will face one of PSG, PSV Eindhoven, Juventus, Roma, Benfica or Gent in the last 16.
Manchester City
They`ve won their group for the first time in history, City will face one of PSG, PSV Eindhoven, Dynamo Kiev, Roma, Benfica or Gent in the last 16.
